And here is the bookcase – repaired and reconstructed by my Dad. I can be sure that it is sturdier than it was when it was new. It’s not going to come down again, unless we have an earthquake. (Not likely, since I live in Pennsylvania.)

Tonight I was at my office until the post-Hurricane-Ike generated wind storm rolled through in earnest. My dad and I watched the clouds outside my window, commenting on the progression of the encroaching darkness, the rising wind, and the spookiness of the clouds.
